“Most of my original email list was built from that joint project. It was a game-changer.”
I’m speaking with Yehudit Benedict, an energetic and enterprising tax consultant. She’s been in the field for 12 years.
For the first six, she was employed in an office. Then, she decided to take the plunge and open her own business.
Temech provided a solution from the get-go. “I didn’t have an office and wasn’t ready to get one yet, but I had to meet with clients in a professional setting.
“I’d rent an office in Temech’s Hub by the hour, enabling me to meet clients in a pleasant, central location.”
Yehudit hired a business coach. The coach recommended she join a networking group to expand her client base. A Temech group was the natural choice.
“I joined Esti Levine’s group. My business was only six months old, and the group helped me understand what I needed to do to be a successful business owner. Speaking with other business owners gave me so many ideas.
“It was also a fabulous networking opportunity. Every woman there was a business owner, and most needed a tax consultant. A number became my clients; others referred me to friends.”
The most substantial outcome came from an ambitious project the group tackled together. They realized that many of them only had clients with tiny businesses. They wanted to attract larger, more established companies.
To achieve that, they created a digital conference.
“We called it ‘The Pinnacle Week’ since we focused on helping businesses reach greater heights. Each of us created a video class related to our area of expertise and then offered a gift that served as a lead magnet.
“Esti brought in someone who specializes in such events, we each paid her a small sum, she built the platform, we each provided our part, and it was up and running.
“That conference gave me the foundation of my email list and opened the door to bigger, better clients.”
Today, five years after finishing that group, Yehudit has her own office and three employees.
And last year, she joined another Temech networking group.
“The group leader, Gili Shleshiger, is a friend of mine. I wanted to join her and to widen my networking circle.”
This round was a different experience since Yehudit was in a different place.
“I gained business insights, and more than that, I made connections.
“Being a business owner can be lonely. And when you own a business, you are the business. How you feel will directly impact the success of the business.
“Having an outlet that combined professional advancement with social connection was so helpful. I got out of the office and brainstormed with other interesting, ambitious business owners.
“I learned from the lectures, particularly the one about sales. And I found new clients, too.”
Whether fresh newbies or established entrepreneurs, Temech’s networking groups enable everyone to grow their bottom line.
